Chartwell Scarlett Heights Retirement Residence

My mom, who has dementia, moved to Scarlett Heights 3 years ago. I am so happy that she is presently living there. Everyone on staff is so respectful, so caring and so helpful. When Covid-19 hit, the staff was on top of it. The building was locked down even before it was mandated to do so. It's been difficult not being to visit regularly, but I know that my mom is happy where she is, and that means a lot.

My mother moved into Chartwell a little over a year ago. She has loved how all the staff knew her name immediately which made her feel right at home. Until the pandemic she was involved in numerous activities such as bridge, bingo, therapy pool, etc. There is lots of options depending on your interests. She really enjoys the food, her apartment with a view of the park, and how helpful and accommodating the staff have been. She has also made a number of new friends. Management and staff have been amazing during the pandemic and have tried to keep the residents engaged and safe.

Think of every positive word you know and that will describe the Scarlett Heights Retirement Residence experience. The staff are caring, friendly, knowledgeable, they take the time to get to know each resident individually. During this pandemic true leadership was demonstrated and we knew our loved one was protected and monitored. The staff found ways to engage the residents while practicing safety protocols. I am very happy here, the staff and managers are terrific. Our General Manager has been outstanding, within the last few months we've had a lot of changes due to COVID 19 and she's been able to handle it.

When the time came for Dad to move from his house of 60 years to retirement living, I wondered if he would ever feel at home again. Fast forward a few short months and thanks to Chartwell, he has settled in beautifully! Chartwell provides a warm and welcoming space, friendly and helpful staff, and just the right support for his needs.
