Used AmeriSpec for a pre-purchase inspection. I have a background in construction and have purchased multiple homes using other inspection companies, so I can honestly say that this was by far the is the most thorough, and on point inspection I've ever had. Norman Despins was extremely professional and knowledgeable not only pointing out what's wrong, but also noting the good as well as offering advice on potential future problems and areas that require regular maintenance or keeping an eye on. You easily can find a cheaper inspection company, but remember, you get what you pay for!!!

This company is beyond highly recommended. I had an urgent request for a re-inspection and they provided a timely visit in record turn around time for both the visit and the report. Denny the inspector was professional and sharp. This is a testimony to how they put their clients’ needs first. 7 stars! And thank you.

I am generally satisfied with the inspection, but I don't think the price is justified, pver $700 for a 26x40 bungalow is too much. They don't test for asbestos, radon, mold, foundation issues, they don't even have thermal cameras. Too much of the report is ''we recommend having a licensed contractor look at this'' and things like ''loose faucet handle'' ''missing handrail'', and pictures of things in the yard with a header that says ''out of scope''. But again, I think a general inspection like this before buying is a good idea, there is good info in the report like calling-out poorly sealed door openings, the type of plumbing and electrical panel, and the partial run down of the state of the attic, just wish the price would have been more reasonable.

Good service, very knowledgeable technician and advice. It is true that they are missing many of the more ''modern'' investigative equipment, such as infra-red cameras etc. The two things I would suggest to this company is 1.) Stop using cameras that are > 10 years old. My iPhone took better pictures than what was in the inspection report, which is a tad ridiculous for the price you're paying. 2.) In the same vein of thought, this company is still using Palm Pilots during the inspection report - I did not think that they still existed. It took the inspector much more time to fill out the inspection form - I think perhaps transitioning towards iPads or some other tablet may be good idea!
