Embassy West Senior Living

My Mum was there from March 2017 until March 2018, when she passed away. I couldn't have asked for a better place for her to be for her last year. The staff are so caring and treat their residents as almost family. Any questions or concerns I had were dealt with swiftly and professionally. The chef there prepares a variety of good homemade dishes. There is always some sort of activity going on throughout each day. There is even an on-site physiotherapy company which Mum had personal contact with and were a great help to her post-stroke. Don't judge a book by its cover. Although, for those of us who grew up in Ottawa, it still has the appearance of the Embassy West Hotel, in the end, what is most important is to find somewhere for your loved one where you can go to sleep at night knowing that there is caring watchful eye being kept on them. It doesn't matter if there aren't fancy decorations. It matters that your loved one is being cared for with love and compassion.

This is an amazing home for seniors. The staff show true compassion and are genuinely concerned with all aspects of care needs for a variety of patrons and families. Anuj goes above and beyond to ensure everything possible is accomplished to ensure all needs are well taken care of. Wishing we had had the chance to experience this facility for a longer time.

I came to Embassy West Senior Living in 2014. My first encounter in the building was picking the wrong chair in the lobby to sit in before my interview. A lovely resident who was very sharp quickly told me that was her chair, you sit in another chair. Today is my five year anniversary as a member of the EWSL team. I have learned many things from so many people over the last five years. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with a truly remarkable team . I have had the pleasure of hearing many great stories from our residents who served our country as Veterans and because of them, my children get to live an amazing life in a great country. I go to work everyday with the motto experience is a great teacher and I have a front row seat !

The Embassy West is a wondrous residence ! We were taken on a tour of the residence by Anuj, very personable manager, well-informed and in tune to his staff and resident. They were always greeted by name and happy to help their residents. Seems like a small detail but it tells you a lot. There was a crossword game in the common room at our visit, well-attended and they were all engaged and having fun. They have a lovely chapel and dining room, big theatre room, a pool ! and a physiotherapy office on site. They offer independent living and assisted living. There is a waiting list, not too long and unfortunately my father was not eligible as he now requires long-term care. But my best friend and I were very impressed and would not hesitate in the future to get on the list ! Highly recommend this quiet classy residence !

We so appreciated the extra mile Embassy West went in helping us out during a very difficult time with my Mother. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and concerns and we cannot thank them enough for their help and concern. Especially Anuj! Mother would have loved staying there long-term, I am sure, and it is unfortunate she did not get that chance. Thank you Anuj and staff! Wonderful people.
