We are currently designing a custom lakeside residence project located in Lake Placid, NY. We approached Structure-Fusion, (a subsidiary of Canam Group) to provide us with heavy timber optimised structural solutions during the bidding process. Dominique Briand (a bright guy...) and his team demonstrated great enthusiasm and an a particular ability to suggested practical alternative and design solutions. Their structural engineering in-house team comes handy. As project architect, we appreciate the design aid they offer. It allows us to brainstorm ideas directly in the meantime considering fabrication options. Hopefully, the collaboration will continue further into the next phase in construction. On behalf of our client, we are awaiting from them proposals for the supply of CLT and heavy timber structure including an installation bid.
